Meteorite Mountain
Statement:
The title, Meteorite Mountain, comes from a short story of the same name by Chinese author Can Xue published in a collection of short stories entitled WORDS WITHOUT BORDERS: The World Through The Eyes Of Writers. The story involves two sisters who lead very different lives. Over the course of the story the two sisters drift apart, get married, discover amazing occurrences, and come back together again due to both their curiosities. All this mostly takes place on a mystical mountain called Meteorite Mountain.
This body of work is only tentatively entitled Meteorite Mountain at this point because it involves meteorites and some, hopefully mystical, mountains. The similarities between Can Xue’s wonderful short story and my own fall apart there, however you should go and buy the book and read her short story anyways.
